Instagram reveals list of winners among Fashion Month

And the leading names come as no surprise
Fashion month is officially over however the F/W'18 collections are still appearing on our social media feeds and they're from the most buzzed about brands of the season. See the full list here...

Twice a year, our Instagram feeds are dominated by runway shots, street style snaps, backstage beauty looks and wishlist-worthy creations by some of the world’s most coveted labels. We’re indeed speaking about Fashion Month.

Over the course of four weeks, the fash pack jumped from city to city (New York, London, Milan and Paris), to witness top brands reveal their newest collections for the Fall/Winter ’18 season, and there was no shortage of standout shows.

Whilst it’s difficult to choose which runway show sparked the most attention (there were just so many!), Instagram has revealed which brands garnered the most interest within each city.

New York

This year, New York Fashion Week combined the men’s and women’s schedules and one name that garnered the most buzz on Instagram was Tom Ford. It comes as no surprise following the designer’s nod towards the #MeToo movement via the collection’s accessories

Tom Ford’s show was followed by Calvin Klein in second place, and Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs filling out the rest of the top five spots. Whilst Victoria Beckham did not make the list, the former Spice Girls singer had the most engagement on the social media platform (she received the most-liked photo by a designer and most-liked video posted by a designer over the entirety of fashion month).

London

Even though the fash pack had to brave the chilly weather during London Fashion Week, it didn’t stop them from attending the shows that were on agenda.

One of the biggest shows on the schedule was Burberry and, unsurprisingly, the British brand took the top spot with a show that also marked Christopher Bailey’s departure from the luxury fashion house after 17 successful years.

Newcomer Richard Quinn came in second place and it wasn’t unexpected following his front row guests. Sitting next to Anna Wintour, a highly popular front row attendee, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II made her first ever appearance at LFW to take in Quinn’s show.

Richard Quinn was then followed by Christopher Kane, Teatum Jones and Delpozo

Burberry

Milan

The penultimate week of fashion month hosted some of the calendar’s most highly-anticipated shows including Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Versace and Moschino — which all took Instagram’s top spots in that exact order.

The Alessandro Michele-run brand made headlines on day one of Milan Fashion Week, thanks to Michele’s signature maximalist aesthetic and those freakishly real-looking accessories of dragons, chameleons and replicas of model’s heads.

Prada then made history with its opening model, Fendi with its star-studded model lineup, Versace (who just opted to go fur-free) with archival prints and colour ensembles, and Moschino with Jeremy Scott channelling Jackie O for the autumnal season.

Gucci

Paris

On the Parisian front, Karl Lagerfeld earned himself the number one spot for transforming the Grand Palais into an enchanted forest for his Fall/Winter ’18 collection. Creeping up in second place was Maria Grazia Chiuri‘s feminine-led collection show, followed by Louis Vuitton’s runway at in the iconic Musée du Louvre, Saint Laurent‘s sparkling collection reveal under the Eiffel Tower and lastly, Balmain
