Sweet dreams are made of this...
Lucy in the Sky is the new single room hotel Dutch port of Deventer, Netherlands, combining the worlds of different visual artists and architects, the Lucy's will give its guests a chance to sleep in a work of art
Each two-person retreat is designed for a specific location and offers a unique view of its scenic surroundings in the Netherlands. The Lucy hotel rooms offer 100% privacy from the outside world, with three different types of Lucy's to choose from, the Cube, the Glxy and the PWR.
With a surface of just 4 x 4 square metres, the Cube offers a special designed Auping bed and bedspread (by Annemiek Pruyt), a shower, a pantry and fridge. The ceiling is also transparent so guest can sit back and watch the stars at night.
The Glxy sits at the main entrance of the harbour district and is nestled on top of the roof of a former machine factory. The circular space offers beautiful views of the harbour and has a bed and lounging area from where guests can watch the sunset.
The Lucy PWR, is created out of recycled wood materials and features a fragmented roof with solar panels that provide the Lucy with energy. The futuristic cube-like architecture makes the PWR look like a protruding sculpture, making it unique to its very core.
