LVMH's new luxurious St Barths hotel and spa
The Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France
LVMH have recently presented the third and newest addition to the Cheval Blanc Maison portfolio – Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France, at Flamands bay on the French Caribbean island of St. Barthélemy (St. Barts). The new 'maison' joins Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives and Cheval Blanc Courchevel, to complete the trio of holiday hideaways.
The new luxury retreat is housed in the former home of the once famous Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France, which has been lovingly restored over the past year. The revamped hotel now exhibits the trademark plush interiors of the brand, which feature shades of signature taupe spliced with accents of blush pink. The clean lines of the external facades blend with the fresh and crisp interiors, all of which sits harmoniously against the tropical backdrop of the Caribbean sea.
The hotel has collaborated with hair care specialist, Leonor Greyl, to provide a range of luxe hair products for guests, which are designed to help combat the ill effects of sun and sea water. Furthermore a spa partnership with Guerlain promises luxurious treatments from the experts in beauty and wellness. The hotel has also borrowed Guerlain’s top fragrance specialist, Thierry Wasser, who has produced a signature scent exclusively for guests of the resort.
Chef Vinsot is at the helm in the kitchen and has provided an exquisite menu, which blends local West Indian flavours with the traditional, rich French culinary tradition. Personalised dining experiences are encouraged including improvised picnics on a pristine cove, gourmet breaks on the beach and romantic dinner cruises on the hotel’s own cruise boat – Big Blue Escape.
