A special Italian summer awaits the Middle Eastern traveller as Boscolo Hotels announce its new seasonal offerings. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

Luxury Italian hospitality brand Boscolo Hotels, part of the Marriott's Autograph Collection, is set to launch its Middle East Special Summer Promotion. The chain's flagship hotels, Boscolo Exedra Roma and Boscolo Milano will welcome regional travellers who want to experience a true Italian summer.

Situated in the heart of Rome, the Boscolo Exedra Roma is part of a 19th century grand palace, which has since been refurbished to house the hotel. In 2013 Adam Tihany, one of America's greatest architects and the designer of the recently opened Four Seasons Hotel DIFC, together with renowned Italian architect Maurizio Papiri, the man responsible for the glorious Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, updated the ancient city hotel.

Today, the luxury hotel, which is a stone's throw from the Piazza della Repubblica, is not only surrounded by some of the city's most treasured heritage sites but rather intertwined with the tourist hotspots; the third century Diocletian Baths can be seen from the hotel's ground floor and the 16th century granary Clementino, has been merged with the hotel, providing a luxury accommodation must-experience. As well, the hotel's exceptional concierge team will be on hand to curate a bespoke travelling itinerary within the city for the opportunity. Expect to explore other monuments including the Colosseum and the Pantheon, or indulge in exclusive retail therapy.

Over in Milan, the Boscolo Milano is a picture of contemporary design complete with a lifestyle, fit for the city's most vibrant and forward-thinking. The building in which the hotel sits, is almost a century old and was redesigned by local architect Italo Rota.

Interestingly, the hotel was an integral part of the Milan Expo in 2015 and lays claim to be the first and largest permanent installation for the world event. As such, the public has access to half of the hotel's interiors, including the Museum Hall, where many art exhibitions are regularly hosted. Continuing the art theme, several of the suites are decorated with masterpieces by Italian artists including Sironi and Fontana.

The hotel is situated at the edge of Milan's fashion square, think the famed Via Montenapoleone where luxury fashion houses including Versace, Valentino, Gucci and Ferragamo await. Also nearby are the city's top sights: the Duomo Di Milano and La Scala. To wind down after a day of sightseeing and shopping, the 600sqm Boscolo Milano SPA, the largest facility in Milan, offers the perfect abode to soothe and rejuvenate.
