WeTransfer launches mobile phone app for iOS
A free service that can store up to 10GB of data
Amsterdam-based company, WeTransfer, an online file-transferring platform, is extending its reach with the creation of a new mobile phone app for iPhone users around the world.
Initially aimed towards uploading and sharing videos and photos, the WeTransfer app allows up to 10GB of files to be shared directly from the iPhone's camera roll through a 3G/4G or WiFi connection.
The app, which is free to use, features incorporated gesture controls making it easy for its users to quickly find images. An additional WeTransfer 'Plus' account is also available which allows users to store up to 50GB of data in the company's own cloud from only $10 per month.
CEO and Founder of WeTransfer Bas Beerens stated "the arrival of 4G and increasing coverage across the globe gave us the opportunity to work on a product that could offer the same service our users would expect from the online version."
The WeTransfer app is now available from iTunes
