Tim Cook hypes the launch success of the Apple Watch

Off to a good start according to reports...

Tim Cook sounds upbeat discussing the launch success of the much hyped Apple Watch. As shipping started at the end of last week, the wait is finally over for the eager superfans who pre-ordered their luxury gadgets earlier this month. Find out what the Apple CEO has to say...

Apple CEO, Tim Cook, proves that he has what it takes to launch Apple into a new realm, announcing today that the Apple Watch launch has got off to a pleasing start, in an upbeat conference call with market analysts:

"All around the world, we've seen the excitement on social networks as people start using their Apple Watch," Cook said. "The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Our developer community has already seen the potential in this new category and put some of their best thinking into what wearable technology can do."

Pre-ordering opened for the Apple Watch on April 10 and shipping launched last Friday, so the first wave of adopters have begun wearing their coveted new gadgets, and sharing their experiences with the world on social media channels.

Cook has said that the success can be seen in the level of demand. Adding that: "Right now, demand is greater than supply. And so we're working hard to remedy that. We've made progress over the last week or so and we're able to deliver core customers and Apple Watch over the weekend." Cook also suggested that the Apple Watch could start to roll out to other countries in late June...
