The last time two stores opened on the same day in a single country, it was the first two Apple stores ever. Until now.

It's been the most anticipated store openings in the region and now the first Apple stores in the Middle East are here; one in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai and the other in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi. "We are really excited because our stores are really an extension into the community and the UAE community is incredible; creative, innovative thriving enterprises," said Wendy Beckman, Head Apple Retail in Europe and the Middle East. "Both of our stores will be offering our signature services that we offer all over the world. Some of those are personal set-up and free workshops services. Here we will be offering ladies-only workshops as well."

Inside the store, which was designed in partnership with Foster + Partners, you'll find trees that provide a soothing canopy and the skylight provides a sense of space. With regards to products, there are over 150 for you to play with and discover.

The staff are as personable as they are knowledgeable. "None of our stores are great until we fill them up with people and we work really hard to handpick the team," added Beckman. "Between the two stores, there are over 150 employees who speak over 40 different languages and represent 30 nationalities. They are highly-trained and many have worked for Apple for years."

With the new Apple stores, you can expect quicker arrivals for new launches but that's not all. In the coming weeks, Apple will organise events with everyone from app developers to authors and filmmakers.
