Achieving the ultimate visual clarity

There have been many smartphone apps developed to transform handheld devices into apparently 'corporate-quality' scanners – and each has offered varying results, until now

A new device called Snaplite, developed by Japanese company PFU Limited, serves as a LED lamp that allows users to securely position their iPhones above a specific object they wish to capture and scan.

The smartphones will then link to the invention via Bluetooth connectivity – through a designated app, which will also feature automatic cropping, framing lasers, angle correction, and a picture merging ability that allows multiple images to be combined into one solid picture.

When the device is not being used as a specific means to scan an item, it can be alternatively used as a desk lamp controlled by smartphones.
