Leica debut luxurious new safari-inspired camera
For the adventurous photographer
When it comes to Leica, no one is quite so apt at fusing modern advances in digital photography with retrospective design. And the new MP TYP 240 Safari Kit is another shining example of that. Hot on the heels of the cool, all black Lenny Kravitz kit for a similar MP model, this new design has a distinctly 1960's feel to it.
With all of the functional elements you would expect the MP TYP 240 to possess such as a 35mm /f2 ASPH lens in silver chrome finish that also has a matching round metal lens hood. Specifications include a Leica MAX 24 MP CMOS Sensor, an integrated imaging circuit with Leica Maestro Image processor, full HD (1080p) video recording and a 3 inch TFT display to name a few.
The olive green design blends with the idea of a Serengeti or jungle safari adventure, with a complimentary tan leather strap, the only modern give aways (aside from the high spec digital functionality) are the silver chrome dial and lens touches. This camera is definitely for the intrepid, yet style conscious explorer.
