First look: The tiny 'smart' bracelet by Intel and Opening Ceremony

It's the little things...

Intel and Opening Ceremony are launching a wearable piece of tech, which they’re calling MICA, or 'My Intelligent Communication Accessory'

Available in two styles, one black snakeskin with pearls and lapis stones from China; the other, white snakeskin with tiger's eye from South Africa and obsidian from Russia, both MICA bracelets by Opening Ceremony x Intel have a curved screen on the inside of the wrist.

"We're not going too much into detail before the product is actually on the market," said Aysegul Ildeniz Vice President and General Manager for business development and strategy, New Devices Group, at Intel. "But what I can say is we're calling it a communications accessory. It's intended to enable you to be connected at all times, through social feeds."

It reportedly does not need to be connected to a phone, and Humberto Leon has said that it will retail at "under $1,000" exclusively at Barneys New York and Opening Ceremony – just in time for Christmas.
