Microsoft launching new streamlined browser to replace Internet Explorer

Spartan power

Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system will soon debut with an entirely new web browser code-named 'Spartan', according to various reports

In an attempt to move towards other popular browsers like Chrome and Firefox, Microsoft is developing a new, fast, streamlined web browser that will replace its Internet Explorer.

Microsoft aims to distance itself from users' bad memories of old versions of Internet Explorer with the new application – available for both desktop and mobile versions of the operating system.

The browser, dubbed 'Spartan', is set to be unveiled on January 21, 2015, when Microsoft demonstrates its new Windows 10 operating system – according to people close to the tech company.
