Tech aficionados take note! Apple have just announced new updates to their Apple Watch Series 3 launch, followed by Siri, the TV app to add to its Apple TV offerings and Apple Pay in the UAE...

After months of teasing, Apple has finally introduced the Apple Watch Series 3 during the live announcement in Cupertino, California. Adding several new functions to the Apple Watch Series, the third generation digital device now sees a built-in cellular GPS, enhanced waterproof functions, faster dual-core processor, wireless connectivity, Apple Music (yes, you can listen to music on your watch) and the game-changing function, Siri.

Speaking about the new product, Jeff Williams, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer says: “We believe the addition of cellular will transform the way people use Apple Watch, providing a new sense of freedom since they can stay connected with or without their iPhone,” before continuing that, “Apple Watch Series 3 combined with the power of watchOS 4 is the ultimate device for a healthy life.”

The leading tech giant is also continuing their partnership with both Hermes and Nike, with a new range of cases and colours. Expect to see Apple's signature silver and space gray aluminum mixed with Hermes' printed Gala calfskin and Nike's Woven Nylon strap.

Then it was on to talks of Apple's new TV 4K, which features sharper, crisper images, along with the help of Siri, who will find exactly what you're looking for. “Bring the magic of the cinema straight to your living room with the new Apple TV 4K,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services. Cue continued to talk about the new features and said: “Customers will love watching stunning 4K HDR movies from an impressive catalog on iTunes, while also getting automatic upgrades of 4K HDR movies already in their iTunes library... and enjoying 4K content on services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, coming soon.”

Another new feature added to the line up of this generation's product launches is Apple Pay, which has just been confirmed for the UAE. As the easiest (and cashless) way to complete purchases online and through apps, with the click-of-a-button purchasing process, expect Siri to send money to your account (which would be stored in Wallets) or use your card with a press of a button.

Starting from Dhs1299, the Apple Watch Series 3, and the Apple TV 4K — price starts from Dhs669 — are available for pre-order from September 15 and in stores, September 22, 2017.
