Just in: Apple launches the iPhone (Product)Red special edition
Apple has just announced the launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (Product)Red special edition to mark a decade-long philanthropic partnership. The new phone, finished in apple red aluminium, offers Apple connoisseurs the opportunity to be a part of an exclusive collector's club, while also engaging in charity work at the same time.
"Apple is the world's largest corporate donor to the Global Fund, contributing more than Dhs480 million as part of its partnership with (Red)," said Deborah Dugan, (Red)'s CEO. "Combining the global reach of the world's most loved smartphone with our efforts to provide access to life-saving medication in sub-Saharan Africa, customers now have a remarkable opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the Global Fund through the purchase of this new beautiful (Product)Red iPhone."
During the announcement, Apple also unveiled a host of new strap designs for the Apple Watch, Apple Watch Nike+ and the Apple Watch Hermès. These range from woven nylon in various colours such as Berry, Tahoe Blue, Pollen and Midnight Blue, to fine leathers in Bleu Zéphyr and Lime Epsom. Then, completing the new launches is the updated iPad which now features an improved a 9.7-inch retina display.
The (Product)Red special edition iPhone and iPad starts from Dhs2,999 and Dhs1,299 respectively and will be available on March 24 at apple.com/ae. Meanwhile, the new Apple Watch bands are available now on the website along with the Hermès editions, starting from Dhs1,299. Also, take a look at Apple's new home, Apple Park.
