The iPad and iPhone 6 Plus AirVR headset

Are you ready for your close up?

Metatecture, a Toronto-based design firm, is now seeking $20,000 on Kickstarter to create a unique device that will you to strap your iPad or the new iPhone 6 Plus directly to your face

Following in the footsteps of the Oculus Rift or Sony's Morpheus, the new AirVR is a new contraption that allows users to strap a mobile device to their face through a specially created slot.

The headset has two lenses displaying imagery for both eyes, while the screen is placed directly in front of you. The ports of the device are left open, meaning one could even connect a game controller to it. The smartphone app for the system has already been developed and if the Kickstarter is successful, the AirVR will be available in early 2015.
