i-D Digital to launch in Italy this month

The British fashion and culture magazine, 'i-D' is set to launch an Italian language version of its digital platform

Later this month during Milan Fashion Week, i-D will launch its digital platform in Italian. The content will be tailored to Italian market, containing a mixture of editorials produced by the new office in Milan and translated content from the site's i-D team in London.

The Milan office will be headed by Gloria Maria Cappelletti, the editor of i-D Italia and Andrea Rasoli, publisher of Vice Italia, who will also be a publisher on i-D Italia's team. After reports of Vice Media buying i-D in 2012, the company will help in the launch of i-D's Italian digital site.

Editor of i-D Italia, Cappelletti, commented on the launch saying, "i-D is curating a new chapter in fashion in Italy, while translating its lifestyle spirit into the digital arena."  Publisher, Rasoli, also added: "The Italian will meld world class editorial, cutting edge talent and innovative brand partnerships – all with the unique Italian eye for style. Fashion lacks a real point of reference in the digital media world; i-D has got the ambition to become the leader in this field, which represents the future."
