Festive Burberry Kisses
Revamped for the holiday season
Always one step ahead when it comes to technology, the 'Burberry Kisses' innovation aims to humanise the digital experience for one and all in the super sweet way – by allowing users to send a digital message sealed their very own stamp of a kiss. The concept was launched this summer, with a recent revamp for the festive season ahead.
It's the result of a pioneering partnership between the British heritage brand and Google that uses 'innovative kiss recognition' technology to allow everyone to capture and send their real kiss to anyone, anywhere in the world, a notion even more in demand during the coming months when people particularly want to be with their loved ones.
The emotive digital experience is best when accessed via a touchscreen device, such as an iPhone or iPad, but is equally as fun on any standard desktop with a web camera.
"We're constantly thinking about how we translate the emotion of what we create and experience in the real world into the digital space, whether that's capturing the energy and excitement of a live gig, the hum and buzz of anticipation before a runway show, or just the feeling you get when you pull on your trench coat on a rainy morning," says Burberry's CEO, Christopher Bailey. "Burberry Kisses began with the idea of giving technology a bit of heart and soul, and using it to unite the Burberry family across the world - by telling a story that makes the digital personal."
