In a deal estimated to cost $60 million, Facebook is buying solar-powered drones to deliver internet to the whole world

Global tech giant Facebook, which just moved its staff to a huge space in Manhattan, announced plans to buy WhatsApp, and celebrated its 10th birthday - is reportedly set to buy Titan Aerospace, creators of solar-powered drones which have the ability of flying for five years without requiring to land.

According to a report on TechCrunch, the transaction is estimated to cost $60 million. Via the solar-powered drones, the social networking company could potentially deliver internet to parts of the world where it isn't yet available.

Drones seem to be taking the whole world by storm of late, as earlier reported on Buro 24/7 Middle East, Dubai has recently launched a $1,000,000 contest to support its drone bid to help governmental services.
