Caroline de Maigret reveals her style secrets for The Edit
French fashion at its finest...
This month, The Edit went to Paris to shoot Caroline de Maigret in her trendy South Pigalle apartment for a unique interview with the French fashion icon. With her favourite shoes noted down as men's-style churches (you will never catch her walking around in ballerina flats) De Maigret posed for the online magazine in a variety of relaxed yet chic outfits, from baggy sweaters and tailored pants to khaki safari-style dresses with Chloé sandals. She even discussed her new admiration for Haider Ackermann "His woman is who I want to be; she is spiritual and intelligent. And the colors and materials are incredible."
Shot by Emma Tempest with styling done by Helen Broadfoot, De Maigret looked cheerful and humble as she sat in her cozy Parisian home – which is clad with shelves of books and music and a dozen guitars. And, with a modest catchphrase of "Once you are ok with ageing, you find ways of being the best you can be. We've given up on being perfect," it's no wonder women all over the world look up to the How to Be Parisian author for daily inspiration.
