Apple Watch to launch Spring 2015
The wait (and gossip) continues...
Apple are subject to yet another rumour and leak this morning, as a transcript of Angela Ahrendts rallying retail employees in the lead up to the holiday season was leaked to Apple rumours and discussion site 9to5Mac. In the transcript it is mentioned that the Apple Watch will not be available on the market until Spring 2015.
Revealed almost two months ago alongside the now available iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the wearable tech will come in three versions – the Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Sport, and the Apple Watch Edition – each of which have different features, straps, and finishes. Prices will start at $349 in the US. Rumours recently surfaced that the Chinese supermodel Liu Wen might be the face of the new Apple Watch when it eventually launches.
In other news concerning the tech giant's highly-anticipated timepiece with a twist, Apple are seeking a 'Apple Watch Evangelist' according to a post on its official jobs site, and wants the third-party app marketplace for the upcoming Apple Watch to be a hit just like on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Take a look at what popular apps could look like on the device here.
It is expected that fully-optimised apps will be able to be developed with the help of the WatchKit platform – with Apple confirming last month that the WatchKit will be available for application developers to utilise in November. Inside sources say that Apple has already given WatchKit SDK access to Facebook, Twitter and Path.
