Apple has poached a senior executive from Swiss luxury watch brand Tag Heuer, which could help with the launch of its iWatch expected this autumn
Tag Heuer, which is part of luxury goods group LVMH, confirmed its vice president for sales, Patrick Pruniaux, who had been with the brand for seven years, is now leaving to join tech giant Apple.
The head of LVMH watch brands, Jean-Claude Biver, expressed his joy for Pruniaux and his move,"If he went to my competitor I would have felt betrayed. But if he went to Apple I think it's a great experience for him," Bliver said.
The iWatch will be the US tech company's first foray into the personal luxury goods market.
