Apple is kicking off 2020 by celebrating your creativity

On the lookout for those photography enthusiasts...
Apple is kicking off the new year by celebrating your photography skills. Here's what you need to know...

When Apple launched the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, the products’ latest features were pretty impressive (to say the least) and perhaps our favourite tool was its camera lens.

The all-new Night mode, in particular, was a feature we never really knew we needed. With the iPhone’s breakthrough dual-camera system (and iPhone 11 Pro features a triple-camera system), both offer the tool to turn every customer into a professional photographer.

Now, Apple is celebrating its customer’s creativity with an all-new Night mode photo challenge.

Running until January 29, users are invited to capture stunning images using Night mode on their iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max for a chance to have their works set up in a gallery on Apple Newsroom, apple.com and Apple’s Instagram page. Also, if you’re just *that* good, the images may also appear in digital campaigns, at Apple Stores, on billboards, or in a third-party photo exhibition.

Got what it takes and want to get involved?

All you’ll need to do is share your top Night mode photos taken on iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtags #ShotoniPhone and #NightmodeChallenge to participate in the challenge. Weibo users can also participate using #ShotoniPhone# and #NightmodeChallenge#.

Also, you may choose to submit your images in their highest resolution via email to shotoniphone@apple.com All you’ll need to do is us the following file format ‘firstname_lastname_nightmode_iPhonemodel’.

What happens next?

A panel of select judges from across the globe will evaluate submissions to reveal five winning photos on March 4th, 2020.

Best of luck to all participants!
