Apple is supposedly in talks with America's largest cable company, Comcast, to create the ultimate television delivery service

According to a report published by the Wall Street Journal, the Apple and Comcast streaming TV service would go through an Apple 'cloud', with the main goal for viewers to live-stream on-demand and live TV content from all over the internet, instead of using the traditional cable set-top box.

The news comes at a time when the likes of Google and Sony are also said to be developing similar services. Although talks are in the early stages, Apple apparently has proposed that users would be able to sign on to the Apple 'cloud' with their Apple login IDs. The company is hoping that an agreement will be made with Comcast, as along with the company's apps, it would ensure a range of content to deliver the ultimate television delivery service.
