Manchester United confirms new kit deal with Adidas
Following its recent announcement of a performance art-driven concept with Marina Abramovic in aid of the World Cup, Adidas has some more exciting football-related news... After years with Nike, Manchester United have announced a new £70 million-a-year with the brand.
This is more than double the amount the world-famous club currently receives from Nike. The huge deal for the club is underscored by a recently-revealed partnership with American car brand Chevrolet. The deal will start for the 2015-2016 season as Nike's will continue for one more.
Details about the length of the contract are not known yet but it will be a boost for United as they aim to bounce back to the former days of glory, after failing to qualify for this season's Champions League.
