The Duchess of Cambridge showed off her jumping skills in heeled wedges on Tuesday in Glasgow, where she took part in an old tradition at the Commonwealth Games

Prince William and Kate showed their support at the athletes' village, where they took part in the traditional festivities including the South African game 'three tins' – which involves jumping over tin cans.

The Royal couple were also pictured with legendary athlete Usain Bolt, who is the subject of controversy and newspaper front pages this week after reports that he slated the Glasgow Commonwealth Games to Times journalist Katie Gibbons, saying that "the Olympics were better".

It is expected that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will travel to Belgium early next week for a short trip to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War I.
