First Saudi woman to climb Mount Everest, Raha Moharrak, stars in new Nike video
Celebrating inspirational sportswomen
Nike has released a new inspirational film, starring Saudi mountaineer, Raha Moharrak — the third in a series to promote an active lifestyle. Prior to Moharrak's campaign came two short films featuring Emirati weightlifter Amna Al Haddad and Omani tennis player Fatma Al Nabhani.
"I am not the kind who can sit without moving for hours," says Moharrak, the first Saudi woman to have scaled Mount Everest. "I look for new challenges every day. That motivates me. When I climb, I need to know that I can trust my body so, when I am home, I train." In the video, Moharrak shares her newest challenge, which is to reach the summit of the highest Alaskan peak, before posing the question to the viewer, "What's your goal?"
The Nike film also shows Raha training with the NTC app, which features more than 135 workouts. The workouts are refreshed monthly and are designed so users can exercise anytime, anywhere. Apart from being a portable personal trainer, the Nike app also features a Sport Feed that enables users to share and connect with their community of friends.
