First look: The Nike Pro hijab campaign featuring Zahra Lari, Ibtihaj Muhammad and Zeina Nassar
Following the announcement of the Nike Pro hijab in March, the American multinational company has officially launched the innovative product worldwide. Inspired by the hijab-wearing Olympians at the 2012 London Olympics, Nike has also released a must-see campaign video (which you can watch it below) for the capsule collection featuring American sabre fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad who just released the first hijabi barbie with Mattel, Emirati figure skater Zahra Lari and Lebanese-German boxer Zeina Nassar.
Available in three different hues — think black, vast grey and obsidian — the hijab comes complete with the ultimate lightweight fabric that is as stretchable as it is breathable. The product was also debuted at season 10 of Fashion Forward Dubai, at the Saudi-Arabian designer, Mashael Al Rajhi's runway show.
Speaking about the capsule collection, Nike spokeswoman Megan Saalfeld said: "Nike's mission is to bring inspiration and innovation to all athletes. We're thrilled that Nike can deliver a product innovation that female athletes in the region told us they wanted and needed."
