The world's tallest water slide to launch Texas
Up until recently, and going by the name of 'Verruckt' (German for "insane"), the world's tallest water slide ride at the Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City, was still closed due to some technical faults. In early tests, rafts carrying sandbags flew off the slide, causing engineers to take down half the ride at the cost of $1 million.
However now, it is in the final testing stage and a first-person video of the ride has been released showcasing what visitors can expect...
At 168-foot tall (the equivalent of a massive 17 storeys), the slide sends its riders on four-person rafts that plummet to the ground at 60/70 mph.
