The world's biggest Apple store to open in Dubai
The US tech giant to take a big bite out of the UAE
Earlier this week, after Apple confirmed plans to open its first store in the Middle East region – following a posting on its website for 26 retail jobs in Dubai – the company is now set to open a shop in the emirate that is bigger than its current 23,000 sq ft NYC flagship.
The website first quoted a source saying that the Dubai store was originally planned to replace the current cinema complex and is likely to open in the first quarter of 2015.
"We look forward to opening a physical store in the region, and sharing Apple's unique shopping experience and services that have been incredibly popular around the world, in the near future," Apple said in a statement.
With still no indication as to when the store would open, previous hiring schedules indicate that it will around February/March next year.
