Tommy Hilfiger to go global with purchased hotel brand The Raleigh

Designer hospitality

American designer Tommy Hilfiger is diving head first into the hospitality business as he is reportedly looking to go global with a Miami hotel and brand he recently acquired...

Earlier this year, the American businessman/creative acquired The Raleigh hotel in Miami for $56.6 million, with his mission to turn it into a high-end hotel and private members club.

Speaking to the New York Post's Page Six, Tommy Hilfiger revealed that he has already trademarked The Raleigh name in "numerous countries" and is looking to take it to other cities, including Los Angeles.

The designer also added that he is aiming to extensively renovate the old hotel, which was originally designed in 1940, yet still incorporate the beautiful Art Deco interiors. "I am going to bring back the grandeur, the elegant feeling of relaxed luxury, that The Raleigh had when it first opened," he said.
