Tilda Swinton stars in new film for Mercedes-Benz
Fast and the fashionable
Tilda Swinton – who still counts passing her driving test on the first try as one of her greatest accomplishments – was joined by friend and fashion designer Haider Ackermann in Berlin last week for the grand reveal of Mercedes-Benz' new film.
"I had three brothers and am still proud to tease them that I am the only one of us that got my driving licence first," said the actress as Berlin's fashion week showcase came to a close.
For the video, Swinton goes back to her homeland Scotland – a place close to her heart, noting that that's where she learnt how to drive on tractors and Land Rovers.
With the help of Ackermann, who styled the campaign, Swinton sported an adrongynous chic look as she drove in Mercedes-Benz' new S-Class Coupé through the winding roads of Scotland's country landscape.
Ackermann, who had never done something in this genre before, expressed his delight for the film, "It was a very good exercise because when I do my show I control the whole thing, but here I was working with very talented people and you need to put your trust in the hands of others. For me it was difficult but that's why I needed to do it. I liked it, it was a great exercise," he said.
