WobbleWorks releases the first ever 3D printing pen and has raised over $2 million
The Boston based company WobbleWorks has just launched the one of a kind 3Doodler - a pen that draws in 3D. Invented by Maxwell Bogue, Peter Dilworth and Daniel Cowen the 3Doodler has raised a whopping $2 million on Kickstarter - although they expected a mere $30,000.
This easy to use pen requires no knowledge of 3D modeling and no software - it simply draws in three dimensions in real time. Working similarly to a 3D printer, the pen melts and cools coloured plastic to create freestanding structures - think of a hot glue gun, but so much better. The pen can now be preordered online for $99 - another great gift idea for the season of giving!
