Reflective paint to cut rooftop temperatures in the UAE by 20 percent
A formula developed by the scientists at Masdar Institute
The new technology, which was recently developed by Masdar Institue and Watergy International Group, is a type of paint that cools so much that one can remove their shoes and walk around on any surface that's covered with it.
The developers are hoping the cool paint will be used throughout the UAE, believing it could significantly reduce the environmental cost of running air-conditioning units.
Its developers claim that the paint could reduce a building's surface temperature by 20 per cent. This in turn would cut down the cost of cooling the building as a whole, energy consumption and carbon dioxide production.
