The first part of the Jumeirah Corniche project – set to be Dubai’s longest Corniche and social sports hub — opens to the public today

This week, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) completed the initial phase of the project, extending more than 2km starting from the Dubai Sailing Club up to the Dubai Municipality's Centre at Umm Suqeim.

The corniche is more than 70 per cent complete and is on schedule for its grand opening in October of this year.

Nabeel Mohammad Saleh, Director of Roads at the RTA Traffic and Roads Agency, invited walking and jogging fans to give the completed part of the Jumeirah Corniche a try on its opening day.

The 14-km project will stretch from the beach adjacent to six residential areas starting from the Dubai Marine Resort up to Burj Al Arab Hotel.
