The iconic 'Nikki Beach' is set to debut in Dubai come 2015
From Miami to the UAE...
Miami-based beach club brand and glitterati favourite Nikki Beach have announced its plans to launch a new resort in Dubai Pearl Jumeriah towards the end of 2015 in partnership with Meraas Holding, the property company controlled by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Adding to the existing repertoire of 12 beach clubs across locations in Asia, Europe, North America and the Carribean as well as a handful of festival pop up clubs that cater to the bottle popping visitors of Cannes and Sundance, the Dubai Pearl location will join Koh Samui in Thailand and Porto Heli in Greece as only the third full scale resort for the brand.
The property will include Cafe Nikki, featuring an open kitchen and contemporary international style cuisine, the Nikki Beach Restaurant and Beach Club and a VIP lounge featuring a caviar bar, which is sure to play host to many of the clubs famous star studded 'white parties'. Other features include 400 metres of white sandy beachfront, branded residences, hotel rooms and suites, 14 beach villas as well as one 1,350 sqm 3-bedroom ultimate beach villa.
The announcement is no surprise to some who have been waiting for a new location to be confirmed in the region following the collapse of a deal between the US company and Qatar's The Pearl. A source in the US confirmed to Arabian Business last month Nikki Beach Worldwide "did not open and are not opening in Qatar."
"We have been waiting for the right time, location and partners to expand our brand in Dubai and after 10 years of waiting, I am happy to announce that we have finally found the perfect location and the perfect partners (Meraas Holding) to open Nikki Beach in Dubai," Jack Penrod, founder & owner of Nikki Beach Worldwide, told CNN.
Nikki Beach will be the latest in a line of beach club brands that have established themselves in Dubai. Buro 24/7 will be the the first to bring you a full review of the opening as soon as it happens...
