Expat to attempt new world record for most bungee jumps in 24 hours in Dubai

During three different sessions, Colin Phillips will attempt to set a new world record for the most amount of bungee jumps in 24 hours, taking place in Dubai

'The Porsche Macan 24-Bungee event', sponsored by the Porsche Centre Dubai, is set to take place on March 20 and 21 at the Dubai AutodromeAttempting to break the record is Colin Phillips, a 32-year-old athlete and fitness coach, who aims to beat the current record of 105 bungee jumps in 24 hours, which was achieved by Kevin Scott Huntly in 2011.

"Breaking a world record in bungee jumping is a childhood dream for me, and being so close to realising this dream is something I cannot express in words," revealed Phillips, who is aiming to complete 200 jumps at a length of 100 metres each. "I have been preparing for this challenge for twelve months, and now it's time for a good reward."

During the event, an official judicator from Guinness World Records will be present to verify all jumps and ensure adherence to Guinness guidelines. 

On Thursday March 20, the first session will take place from 7pm-11pm; the second session runs from 6am-10am the following day, with the last session taking place from 2pm-7pm.
