The world pays tribute to a legend
Some 20,000 people joined well-known famous names from all walks of the world today, coming together in joyful celebration to commemorate the life of Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg, South Africa.

A huge tribute held at the Nelson Madela Stadium saw world leaders, heads of state and government, representatives from the UN and the EU, plus the African Union and famous celebrities arrive for a day of respect and touching memorial service to commemorate the leader of the fight against the apartheid regime, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and prominent statesman.
The former South African President Nelson Mandela died last Thursday at the age of 95-years-old at his home in Johannesburg after a long battle with illness. A state funeral for the ex-leader will be held in his native village of Kuhn on December 15.
