Performance piece

During the month’s Art Basel event in Miami, Contemporary furniture brand Moroso teamed up with the Marina Abramovic Institute (MAI) for some special edition pieces...

Designed by Daniel Libeskind and Patricia Urquiola, this month at Art Basel Miami, the Design Miami event saw a unique collaboration between the two designers at Morosa and Marina Abramovic's MAI.

The limited-edition design objects were two innovative pieces, a 'Counting the Rice' table – one made out of wood and one made out of concrete – designed by Liveskind - available in a limited edition of 30, and the futuristic 'Portal Chair' by Urquiola.

"I wanted to create something austere and beautiful that speaks to marina's work in a very direct way, but also celebrates the level of craftsmanship and design that moroso brings to life in the project," said Libeskind. "High performance cement folds over itself – the idea is to both enfold the body."
