This week, the Facebook founder accepted the ALS 'Ice Bucket Challenge' from the Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie, being one of the many celebrities who are taking part of the charitable cause.
The 'Ice Bucket Challenge' is a new public awareness campaign for the degenerative disease ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Videos of people who have accepted the challenge after being nominated by friends have now been flooding Facebook over the last two weeks.
In the short video, a 30-year-old Zuckerberg said , "Yesterday, Governor Chris Christie challenged me to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I accepted his challenge, and now I'm challenging Bill Gates, Sheryl Sandberg, and Reed Hastings next,"
He added, "You guys have 24 hours to complete the challenge or you have to donate $100 to the ALS foundation - or both."
