Louis Vuitton's City Guides are given a makeover for 2014
Travel in style
Louis Vuitton has republished a 2014 edition of its cult City Guides series. To celebrate 15 years of the guides, which give inside information to towns all over the world, the series has been given a makeover with over 50 journalists, writers and high-profile figures from the art and literature world to compile an eclectic selection of the best addresses in 15 cities all over the globe.
A mixture of classic destinations, avant-garde locations and secret spots, these guides offer a full panorama of each city as seen through the eyes of a resident celebrity or local figure, for an insider's address book with suggestions ranging from top restaurants to the best cafés, and from 5 star hotels to boutique bed-and-breakfasts, focusing on quality over price or notoriety.
Other new additions to the 2014 edition include 24 hours in town, which gives top tips for short stays, planning out a day from breakfast until dinner, and Urban strolls which offers themed itineraries. Photography has also been introduced to the guide for the first time, by photography collective Tendance Floue, who provided 300 photographs offering an alternative outlook on the towns in question.
To celebrate the new look of the City Guides, 3000 limited edition luxury varnished wooden cases of all 15 works will be released in five different colours.
