Lady Gaga could marry her boyfriend Taylor Kinney in space when she takes flight next year on the Abu Dhabi-backed spaceship

Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic  the space tourism venture part-owned by Abu Dhabi could be the venue of US pop star Lady Gaga's wedding when she performs a song in space next year.

The 28-year-old singer, who will be in the UAE in September for her Dubai concert, will soon be blasting into outer space for a special performance as part of the music festival, Zero G Colony, in 2015.

Along with singing on the Virgin Galactic flight, recent reports claim Gaga will use the opportunity to get married to her actor boyfriend Taylor Kinney. "Gaga and Taylor want to make a pledge for life, and think the space flight is too big an opportunity to pass up," a source told the Daily Star newspaper.

"It would be typical of her to have the least conventional wedding ever. Of course it would be a simulated-style marriage as there wouldn't be a priest or religious figure there. But they don't care about convention, it's more about making each other a life-long
