Dubai's leading hotel operations group is set to run the show at Saadiyat Island's prospective resort, which will be completed by 2017

Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi is welcoming a new resident in the form of a $234 million resort, and they've asked Dubai's Jumeirah Group to run the operations.

The luxe resort, which is being developed by the Ghantoot Group and Sheikh Suroor Projects Department, will consist of a 295 room hotel divided into four wings, alongside 11 luxury two-story villas, and one exclusive private villa. It will also include a spa and wellness centre, a gym and ultramodern conference rooms.

A representative for Jumeirah Group said that the company "has been asked by owners of the new project at Saadiyat Island to operate the resort and will make a more detailed announcement in the near future."

The group has had success with the running of Jumeirah at Etihad towers; a hotel that was also developed by Sheikh Suroor Projects department, and are confident in their future ventures in Abu Dhabi.
