Chinese billionaire Jack Ma says he was happier earning $12 a month
Money can't buy happiness...
Chinese billionaire and founder of online store Alibaba, Jack Ma, has experienced the worlds of both the mega rich and super poor. Once an English teacher earning a modest $12 a month and now an ultra-high-net-worth businessman, Ma says that life was happier and simpler without the wealth.
"If you have less than $1 million, you know how to spend the money," he said in a recent address the Economics Club of New York. "[At] $1 billion, that's not your money... The money I have today is a responsibility. It's the trust of people on me."
