Giorgio Armani suits Bayern Munich
When fashion and football collide
Produced from the designer's Made to Measure collection, the uniform includes an anthracite grey wool and cashmere suit, a two-button jacket, a waistcoat and trousers and a light grey shirt. The uniform will also include a red tie and black shoes and a duster coat – a nod to the champion team's official colours. A travel uniform will be made for Coach Pep Guardiola and the players only, comprising of a matching jacket and trouser set and a long-sleeve polo shirt.
Armani will also provide each member with a selection of accessories consisting of sunglasses, trolley and messenger bags and a toiletries case. "We are proud and think it is great that Bayern Munich will in the future be dressed personally by the maestro of the fashion world," said Bayen CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
This is not the first time Armani has dabbled in sports. The designer produced the uniform of London's Chelsea FC team from 2007 t0 2009, and has also been dressing the Italian Olympic teams since 2012.
