Updates are released on the Frank Gehry-designed Facebook headquarters

Status update

Three years after meeting with the award-winning architect, Frank Gehry, who has designed a new state of the art headquarters, Facebook is preparing to move into its new 433,555 square foot office later this year...

Facebook is preparing to move into its new Frank Gehry designed headquarters in Silicon Valley this summer. The new campus expansion is located in Menlo Park, just across the road from the original office building at 1 Hacker Way and will be connected by a tunnel that links to the two buildings under the Bayfront Expressway that separates them.

The new design (pictured above) is a contender for the world's largest open-plan office design. Spanning 433,555 square feet and able to house around 3,000 employees. The largely rectangular structure features zig-zag design features along the side, with access ramp-ways that allow employees to access the 9 acre landscaped rooftop. The rooftop, is designed like a park, with a walking (or running) path around it, and plenty of greenery and picnic spots for the California residents to enjoy. Inside the building some areas feature sprawling high ceilings as high as 73 feet, which surely make for a light and airy working environment.
