Apple Music may have only just made its debut, but it seems that the tech giant's new project may have more have more to worry about than Spotify as it is reported that its digital peer, Facebook is in talks with major record labels...
The social media empire is said to be preparing to launch its own music streaming platform to rival Apple Music and Spotify, and speaking with the likes of Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group about "getting into music."
This new development is said to be a part of Facebook's plan to takeover of the Internet, meaning that its users need never leave the site. Mark Zuckerberg's brainchild recently announced that it would open up sharing of ad revenue with video content creators, which is bad news for YouTube and has signed agreements with publishing companies for their articles to be shown within Facebook, rather than just being linked.
