“Feminism is not here to dictate to you. It’s not prescriptive, it’s not dogmatic” – Emma Watson
The young actress talks women's rights with Elle UK
After giving an inspiring speech for the United Nations last month as its new Women's Goodwill Ambassador, Emma Watson has returned to the subject of feminism – this time for glossy monthly Elle UK.
Watson was lensed by Kerry Hallihan for the cover shoot, telling the magazine in an exclusive interview: "Feminism is not here to dictate to you. It's not prescriptive, it's not dogmatic," adding: "All we are here to do is give you a choice. If you want to run for President, you can. If you don't, that's wonderful, too."
The young actress recently debuted the United Nations #HeForShe campaign, telling an audience of UN delegates that her mission is to "Galvanise as many men and boys as advocates for change."
