In a recent study conducted by Time magazine on the top 100 cities with the most selfies, Doha has been crowned the capital of the Middle East

A survey presented by Time magazine has assessed the number of 'selfie'-takers of the population in 459 cities globally – and found that the Qatari capital of Doha had an average of 52 per 100,000 residents.

Makati City and Pasig in the Philippines took the number one spot, with Doha ranked as 42nd on the list of the top 100 cities worldwide.

The unique survey was created by looking at photos downloaded onto Instagram between January 28 and February 2 2014 and March 3–7 2014 – and only including the top 459 cities with at least 250,000 residents.
