Disney announces new 'Star Wars' lands at two of its leading parks
A galaxy far far away draws closer…
Of the numerous exciting announcements made at the recent Disney D23 EXPO 2015 event, including the news of a new Pandora Park in Orlando, surely the biggest buzz is circulating around the new Star Wars lands set to be opening at Disneyland park in Anaheim, California, and Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Chairman and CEO Bob Iger broke the news to over 7,500 attendees, divulging some of the details of the new amusements. Fans can expect areas in these parks to comprise of a never-before-seen alien planet, a remote trading port and more. A highlight must be the ride designed to give visitors a taste behind the controls of the infamous Millennium Falcon.
"We are creating a jaw-dropping new world that represents our largest single themed land expansion ever. These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance."
