Coming soon: A 210-metre tall Ferris wheel off the coast of Dubai

Dubai's unique skyline is set to receive a new record breaker, in the form of a 210 metre ferris wheel. The Dubai Eye will sit on the new Bluewaters Island development, which is now underway off the coast of Jumeriah Beach Residence. The new island is set to be one of the largest tourist hotspots in the world. It will feature retail, residential, hospitality and entertainment zones, as well as the world's largest ferris wheel.
The Dubai Eye, is ideally located to provide advantageous views of some of Dubai's most iconic landmarks like the Palm Jumeriah, the Burj Al Arab and the Burj Khalifa to name but a few. Notwithstanding the small details, that it will become an iconic landmark in itself.
Abdullah Al Habbai, Chairman of Meraas Holding, who are in charge of the development had said at the launch of the project: "The Dubai Eye will serve as yet another iconic structure and will distinctively dominate the Dubai skyline. We are confident that Bluewaters will develop into a key attraction for the UAE, further enhancing Dubai's status as the preferred global entertainment and retail hub. With its refreshing and well-appointed mix of amusement avenues as well as dining and shopping choices, the island city will provide limitless options for smart living and leisure."
