Bulgari reveals it will invest €1.5 million to the restoration of the Spanish Steps

Coinciding with the jeweller's 130th birthday celebrations, Bulgari is acknowledging the donation as a "special gift from Bulgari to its city". The Spanish Steps - a baroque-style stairway in Rome developed in the 18th century, is considered one of the city's most renowned landmarks. The two-year project will commence in 2015.

Bulgari follows the footsteps of a range of other Italian fashion labels that have pledged to provide financial support to the country's landmarks, including Tod's which donated money to the restoration of the Colosseum, and Fendi, which is refurbishing the Trevi Fountain.
